Country Classics, a new-home builder of NJ and PA communities, held a donation drive benefitting Safe + Sound Somerset & The Children’s Home of Easton. The drive was a huge success, with donations made by employees, customers, and homeowners in all communities. A donation box was placed at each Country Classics location and open to the public for donations.

Giving Back Year Round

Country Classics is a family builder owned by the Van Cleefs, one of Hillsborough, New Jersey’s original landowners. The company has been helping groups and organizations since 1988, giving back in the communities in which they build. Continual support includes: Amsterdam School, Hillsborough Rescue Squad, Hillsborough Fire Company, Hillsborough Rotary Club, Safe + Sound Somerset, Shannon Daley Memorial Fund all located in NJ. A generous donation by the builder was made this past spring to Hillsborough Volunteer Fire Company #3, by building a retaining wall with railings to enhance and improve the fire company’s parking lot. They also provided furniture and an outdoor learning space for the children of Amsterdam School this year.

Not only dedicated to giving back in NJ, the company contributes to organizations in Easton, Pennsylvania as well where its adult 46+ townhome project, Legacy at Morgan Hill, resides. Unending donations are made to The Children’s Home of Easton, which provides both short-term and long-term care for children in need of a safe, caring environment, and to Lafayette College. These are just some of the donations from the long and

impressive charitable contributions list made by Country Classics on a regular basis. Employees of the company also regularly donate to community food banks and to other select organizations during the holidays.

Happily Received

The staff at both Safe + Sound Somerset and The Children’s Home of Easton were thrilled when they received all the donations the company collected. Donations included a wide range of items such as games for all ages, toys, household items, clothing, healthcare items, crafts, and much more. Since 1978, Safe + Sound Somerset has provided counseling, shelter, crisis intervention, education, community and legal support, and advocacy to Somerset County families facing domestic violence. The agency is now operating out of the recently renovated offices and Annex building in which Country Classics donated their time to remodeled for them.

happily-received-country-classics.jpgPresident Todd Van Cleef was very happy with the results of the holiday drive. “It’s always important to our company to give back to the community. We look forward to holding these donation drives and helping our neighbors in need.”
