According to US News.com “The American dream of owning a house in the suburbs with a white picket fence is changing.” The publication recently cited an April 2014 housing survey by Hart Research Associates that claimed approximately 54 percent of Americans believe that renting has become more appealing than homeownership.

Even though apartment dwelling may be more popular, is there a particular time that makes sense to make the move to a new apartment? Statistics indicate that the busiesttime for moving is generally between May and September. That’s logical considering that those are the times kids are out of school. It’s when college students graduate, and the weather makes it easier to consider moving furniture.

But that also means that more people are looking to move in that time frame. So if you’re looking to make a move to a new place there is a lot more competition for the spaces you really want. On top of that, you may also face higher rental rates, as demand is at its peak. You may be in competition with other renters for the ideal apartment.

If seasonal factors don’t affect you, winter may actually be the best time of year for a move to an apartment. After the busy holiday season when many potential renters (and their bank accounts) are recovering, you may want to make your move. When demand for apartments is low, you may find yourself in an ideal position to get the exact apartment you want.

That’s particularly true if you’d like to be the first one to occupy a newly built luxury apartment. There’s something special about moving into a space no one has lived in before. Somehow, it just feels a bit more like home. Everything is brand new and works the way it’s supposed to.

If that appeals to you, Fairway 28 in Bridgewater, NJ may be just what you’re looking for. And the timing is perfect! Country Classics is now allowing occupancy for these brand new luxury apartment homes, located just off Route 28. There are one-and-two bedroom units (ranging in size from 778 square feet to 1,500 square feet that feature stainless steel appliances, solid surface counter tops, tiled baths, extra storage, and more. You can also take advantage of the on-site fitness center and the grand common room. Residents can even take advantage of the on-site car wash station. One-car garages and additional parking spaces are also available as an option.

One problem many renters run into is that some apartment complexes don’t allow pets. That’s not a problem at Fairway 28. We’re a pet friendly community and we even have our own dog run and pet spa! You can check out our pet policy, here.

Because of the demand for high-quality apartments in the area, these units will fill up quickly. There are only 51 of these luxury apartment homes available—and we’re already seeing the evidence of pent-up demand.
