Summer may be winding down, but there is still time for some great golf in the Easton area. Cooler temperatures make playing Pennsylvania’s gorgeous courses that much more enjoyable. There are plenty from which to choose, but we’d like to highlight two of them for your September golfing enjoyment.

In September (The 22nd through the 30th), Green Pond Country Club is home to the exciting annual Lehigh Valley Amateur golf tournament, which attracts hundreds of golfers from all over the area. Don’t be fooled by the word amateur!  This ultra competitive field has grown to more than 400 golfers. So get out and experience golf on a beautiful and challenging course or root your local favorite on.

This highly anticipated event has developed into a community showcase, with local companies entertaining clients, families getting involved, and plenty of corporate sponsors and radio and even television coverage.

Of course, Easton has a pretty impressive course of its own! September is a great time to check out the 18-hole, Par 71 Morgan Hill Golf Course (formally known as The Club at Morgan Hill), located adjacent to Country Classics Legacy at Morgan Hill. Besides being beautiful, this golf course provides plenty of challenges with 2 ponds, 59 bunkers, numerous grass bunkers, grass hollows, natural wetlands, and a wide variety of trees. You can even click here to take a virtual tour of the whole course.

And when you’ve finished your round of golf, you can head over to The View at Morgan Hill to catch a bite to eat. There are great weekly specials (including Wing Night on Mondays and Prime Rib on Tuesdays). And you can catch live entertainment on Wednesdays. Click here for a look at the full menu

Summer may be fading, but in September the Pennsylvania golf is just getting good. It’s just one more reason why the Lehigh Valley is a great place to visit—and to live!
