How can buying a new home near Trenton let you be a tourist forever? The answer is easy. Trenton sits at the hub of an area rich in history and modern entertainment facilities. Located approximately 50 miles from both New York City and Philadelphia, the Trenton area also offers easy access to all the amenities of both cities. However, it’s likely you’ll find enough to do closer to your new home.

Benefits of a New Home

If you buy an older home, chances are it won’t be exactly the way you’d really like it. You may want or need to change everything from light fixtures to flooring, or even knock down a wall to turn two tiny rooms into one of usable size. Not only is this an expensive process, it’s time consuming. Even if you hire out a lot of the work, you’ll be searching home improvement stores for the upgrades you want and then supervising the work. Remember when weekends used to be relaxing?

Purchasing a new home that is constructed just for you puts all that decision making up front. You won’t need to spend days hunting for fixtures that fit your budget; all you will need to do is visit our design studio and make your choices right there. We incorporate your selections into your home and when you move in, everything is just the way you envisioned.

An added benefit is that a new home minimizes those home maintenance worries found in an older home. You know the roof won’t leak and the wiring is safe.

Get Out and Explore

Now, with your home all set and no maintenance chores to worry about, you have plenty of time to enjoy the area.

  • Historical sites: Trenton is not only the capital of New Jersey, it played a part in the creation of the United States during the Revolutionary War. You’ve probably seen the painting of George Washington crossing the Delaware River. Well, he and his troops were on their way to Trenton to surprise the Hessian soldiers quartered in the Old Barracks, now a museum. Other museums in the area include the New Jersey State Museum, the Trenton Museum and several colonial-period homes.
  • Nature: Visit the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park where you can hike, fish, and ride bicycles and horses. There’s a history angle here, too; the canal dates back roughly 200 years and most of it is still intact. Birders will want to visit the Hamilton-Trenton Marsh alongside the Delaware River, and numerous local parks are laced with miles of trails for jogging and simply strolling.
  • Entertainment: Trenton is home to baseball and hockey minor league teams as well as the Sun National Back Center, an arena that hosts concerts and sporting events. Patriots Theater near the Capital is a smaller venue that offers a wide variety of programs.
  • Farther afield: At least two amusement parks—Clementon Park and Splash World and Six Flags Great Adventure and Safari Park—are within an hour’s drive of Trenton. A bit longer drive takes you to the Jersey Shore. You can drive or travel by train to either Philadelphia or New York for all the entertainment treats available in those two great cities.
