Feed Your Brain

Princeton Art Museum

Princeton’s deep American roots include one of the nation’s oldest art museums, dating back to 1755. Although the main building of the Princeton Art Museum is closed for exciting renovations until late 2024, you can still enjoy some of the museum's newest and best collections when you visit the museum’s galleries at Bainbridge and Hulfish. Current exhibitions feature Latinx photography, Women and Arts of Africa, and more. Admission is free. Note that Bainbridge is closed on Mondays.

Morven Museum & Garden

Morven is open Wednesday-Sunday. Once home to Richard Stockton, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, and the former New Jersey Governor’s mansion, Morven offers fascinating historic exhibits while embodying the authentic history it has experienced firsthand.

Recreate Like Your Life Depends on it

Outdoor Recreation Options

Sourland Mountain

This sweet little hike provides a wide range of outdoor options like hiking, biking, or bouldering. With several trail options, you can select the best length and difficulty for your crew, but most trails aren’t too challenging or steep, making them quite kid-friendly. If you’re venturing out during the spring or after a recent rain, prepare to get muddy; it’s part of the fun!

Duke Farms

Bundle up and enjoy over 1000 acres of beautiful grounds at Duke Farms featuring native species. Open Tuesday-Saturday, there’s no charge to get in, but you’ll need a free-entry pass. Duke Farms offers educational classes on sustainability and environmental efforts and a delicious cafe featuring farm-sourced ingredients.

Skillman Park

Enjoy clean restrooms, paved bike and dog-friendly trails, and more rugged, challenging fare. Enjoy pristine views by the brook, pack a picnic, and enjoy the view. Chess boards are available, so bring your own pieces and settle in for a serene match.

Indoor Recreation

Yoga

Yoga is a fantastic way to banish the winter blahs from your body. We’ve linked to Honor Yoga’s web page in Hillsborough because we love their class variety and fantastic deals. There are lots of awesome yoga studios, including Honor Yoga Hamilton, to provide the sanctuary you need to recenter.

Iron Peak Sports & Events

Offering just about any fitness or training facility you could dream of, this sprawling complex offers indoor sports and gathering opportunities for just about anyone. Featuring classics like basketball and volleyball courts, and unique opportunities, including aerial ropes, climbing, and a ninja course, Iron Peak is a great place for a fitness class, kids’ sports clinic, birthday party, or event.

Otto Kaufman Community Center

Rent the gym or a private room for a social gathering you don’t have to spend the day cleaning and preparing for. Take advantage of the impressive array of dance, fitness classes, and more. This small community center provides a friendly atmosphere and excellent facilities.

Get Your Drink on (Responsibly)

Sourland Mountain Spirits

Tour this kid and dog-friendly distillery and enjoy the friendly and fascinating ambiance for a weekend treat. Open Friday-Sunday, Sourland Mountain makes elegantly infused spirits, craft cocktails, and a fantastic time. Even better, you can purchase many of your favorites to-go or catch them at your local farmer’s market for your weekday fix.

VintEdge Wine Bar

Take advantage of New Jersey’s biggest wine list with a delicious-tasting flight. Enjoy French-inspired tapas or an epic brunch to augment your tasting experience. The extensive wine and spirits store allows you to bring your favorites home to savor and share.
